Dzuluk, Zuluk, Jhuluk, or Jaluk is a small hamlet in East Sikkim, India, lying at the height of roughly 10,000 feet (3,000 m) on the steep terrain of the lower Himalayas (Pincode 737131). This is a relatively new and quirky resort in East Sikkim. It is quickly becoming a new tourist destination. The excellent view of the eastern Himalayan mountain range, including Kanchenjunga, contributes to its tourism importance.
It was originally a stop on the historic Silk Road connecting Tibet and India. The silk road connecting Lhasa (Tibet) to Kalimpong was in operation until the Chinese takeover of Tibet a few decades ago. It was a popular overnight stop for traders traveling to Tibet via Jelep-la (“La” refers to the mountain pass). The path began in Kalimpong and continued to Chumbi Valley in Tibet through Pedong, Aritar, Dzuluk, and Jeep.
Make plans to visit Zuluk in Zuluk is awash in various shades of wild blossoms between August and September. The entire area is covered in various wildflowers. Zuluk is covered in snow from January to April.
